I just wanted to know, or, I've been thinking whole my life, and asked myself, how many kurds watch anime ? sometimes it does feel like om the only kurd who is into it xD so anyone who watches anime/reads manga ?

for those of you who do not know, or the majority of you, you can read about manga at wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anime

Anime/Manga are Japanese drawing styles, who is used in cartoons, and then reffered to as Anime.

Um....

I use to when I was younger but like stupid Americanized anime - not the hardcore stuff - like Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing, Ronnin Warriors, basically anything that was on Cartoon Network.

Now I generally don't watch cartoons anymore unless they are computer animated movies like Shrek.

OMG this is sooooo cool! and there i was thinking i'm the only Kurdish girl that adores anime and manga!

I have been a big fan of manga for years, i even draw my own characters *cough cough* lol. I did a GCSE degree and an A-Level degree in Art of manga, but i soon stopped studing it, after age of 18. It is now just a hobbie for me to draw manga characters and make up stories like in comic books.

Ghost in a Shell is a LEGEND! when i saw it for the first time, i knew that was the kind of drawing i wanted to do. I have so many favs that the list would go on forever!

Ey heval Balci, I'm a big fan of manga and anime!!
I've read a few great mangas, like "Vagabond", the story about Musashi Miyamoto, or Alita (AKA GUNM), or Dragon Ball.

In anime, I'm inlove with Studio Ghibli (Princess Mononoke, Chihiro's Journey, Conan the future boy....). Akira is also a masterpiece, and some old animes like Dominion Tank Police, ....

If you haven't seen Naruto, I recommend strongly. It's the suscessor of Dragon Ball series.

Regards!!

Hahaha, another Kurd who loves anime :D I've seen almost everything who is good quality I think.
I think I bailed out of Naruto at the end of the fillers before Shippuden. Ghibli is also cool.

Miyamoto Musashi you say ? Got a genuine Musashi handmade sword right here, i use it to kenjutsu.

Akira is one of my favorite anime movies, I recommend Jin-Roh, cool movie, a little old but its good.

My favorites

FLCL (Furi-Kuri)
Azumanga Daioh, quite kawaii at times.
Welcome to the NHK (NHK ni youkoso!) Drama/Psychological
Elfen Lied, Action/Psychological

I also like my HiME, GTO, Neon genesis evangelion, samurai Champloo, And in my favorite manga collection its about everything made by Kyohiko Azuma, the author of Azumanga daioh and Yotsuba, check out the Yotsuba manga if you haven't seen it, my favorite manga :D

I also reccomend Excel saga (crazy xD) and Haruhi Suzumiya.

Are you into J-rock, J-pop as well if i may ask :P?

I have Elfen lied in my collection but I haven't seen it yet.
And about J-POP and these kind of music, I usually don't hear them, but there are some great songs. I recommend you Perfect Blue anime (psychollogycal thriller), which OST is so great.

Look at this video (Naruto+Ciwan Haco):
