Wtf is wrong with these cowards? ISIS can't be more than a brigade strength of 10 000, there are nearly half a million iraqi soldiers. They can't fight this tiny rag-tag bunch of terrorists? How much are they willing to give up, before they realize there is nowhere to run?

There were actually only 1300 terrorist and they took over a city of more than 2 millions with the entire army running away to Kurdistan .

Funny interview in 2011 of the Iraqi generals who fled yesterday :

http://www.jamestown.org/single/?no_cac ... 5f-KRbB--R

Zeravani came to strengthen Qaraqosh forces and safety :

Shingal seems to be secured by Peshmergas :

Let's remind that in 2003, Paul L. Bremer wanted to dismantle the Peshmergas and to keep only a single united Iraqi army…

That's stupid. Regardless of whether you like nouri al maliki, shiahs, arabs or not, it's stupid to let terrorist scum to control territory. If they establish a base of operations in mosul, who do you think they'll attack? Do you think you can negotiate with Dash? Atleast nouri al maliki is civilized and rational to some extent. Baghdad-KRG conflict, is no excuse for kurds to be indifferent towards salafist terrorists. Don't think ISIS terorrists won't come to kurdistan.

This is a real world not an idealistic one. It is some thing very dirty. This is a survival. Ethics or moral value have no place in this situation . What happening now is a bless for Kurdistan. It is an implementation of article 140 without referendum or firing a bullet. As they say: 'You can win thousands of battles without firing a bullet'. This is the beginning of the collapse of Iraq, which means there is no more threat to S. Kurdistan from Baghdad. If they succeeded to defeat Iraqi Army it wouldn't mean they can do the same things against Kurds. They didn't defeat Iraqi Army in Mosul, but Iraqi army left with their life without firing a shot. At the moment all Iraqi army commanders from Diala to Mosul are former Saddam Hussein Army officers, Sunnie Arabs, brought back with sole purpose to declare war against Kurdistan later. But these officers hate Malikey or rather Shiitas more than Kurds. This explains why they let Sunnie Islamists take over Mosul, Hawijah and now Tickrit. Now the West especially America have to come back to Kurds to ask for help and Kurds got a very strong position to bargain to get the best.

Rojawa, West Kurdistan, has already declared to support South Kurdistan if threatened by emerging Arab Sunnie Forces. Hopefully gradually both sides get united.

I am truly shocked that so few terrorist could destroy so much and chase away the entire Iraqi army and probably half the population a such a large city

At least we now know that the Peshmerga has nothing to fear from Iraqi so Baghdad might as well stop with their threats of the oil

There is no Iraqi army because there is no Iraqi state anymore.

Now in the region, there are only 2 states : KRK and ISIS. Iraq and Syria are in agony.

For safety only families are being let in to KRG at checkpoints.

Massive queues of people trying to escape the fighting.

Looks as though the cowardly Iraqi soldiers will have to find somewhere else to hide.

Petrol prices have more than doubled in Kirkuk since yesterday - fears of shortages. Beiji refinery likely entirely cut off.

Arab family turned away unless they get a Kurdish sponsor.

Has the leadership collapsed?

ISIS stormed into the Turkish consulate in Mosul and took turkish staff/ diplomats as hostages. Why Turkish consulate did not leave Mosul with all other people ? Because Peshmergas led all diplomatic foreigners out of Mosul ? Turks decline any help : They did not want to be rescued by Kurds ?

Now they are in ISIS hands :-D

Apparently clash Peshmergas?/SIS in Rabi'a : ISIS defeated. And Kurdish forces regain control over Mosul airport (has to be confirmed). They control Kirkuk airport.

Wherever ISIS withdraw, it is front of Peshmergas.

I wonder if KRG should present the bill of all the cost and casualties of Kurds to Maliki or to USA.

It sounds more like they want turkey to get involved. Who knows... maybe it's their trump card for getting kurds to stay out of mosul and kirkuk.

Fighting erupted in Tikrit now and part of the city is under ISIS control . Anbar is gone , mosul is gone and soon tikrit will be gone with all the weapons and banks .
ISIS is officially the richest terror group in the entire world .
