(ZNDA: Mosul) She was running errands after leaving the local internet office when Anita Tyadors, 21, an Assyrian college student, was murdered by roaming thugs in the Zohoor region of Mosul, Iraq on August 5, 2005.




Anita Tyadors
Ms. Tyadors was targeted by Muslim extremists because she studied and spoke English and wore jeans.

She had just exited the local internet office and was making her way back home when three cars abruptly stopped in front of the building, blocking her way.

An unspecified number of men rushed out of the cars and chased Ms. Tyadors with the intent of assaulting her. She ran very fast.

The assailants fought to keep pace, but found themselves under a barrage of foul language and spit, much of which landed in their faces.

Finally catching up to her, the assailants pistol-whipped Ms. Tyadors and threw her limp body into the trunk of one of the vehicles. She was driven to a remote location where she was
brutalized beyond recognition.

All of the assailants jumped out of their vehicles and proceeded to beat Ms. Tyadors. She was very resilient and strong. She fought them off to the best of her ability, at which point they
began stabbing and knifing her.

The assailants bludgeoned and gored her and then shot at her lifeless body and finished the job with a resounding final bullet to the head. Her broken body was discarded and left in the streets.

When she did not return home on time, friends, family members and neighbours went
searching for her at local hospitals and in the streets. They found her on the following Sunday.

Ms. Tyadors is survived by her mother, a brother and several relatives in Baghdad and
Toronto.

And yet there are still people who say why assyrians should get a country.

No this is not the reason for an independent Assyria (kidnappings/murders happen all over Iraq), but i think u do deserve selfrule/independence in the place where u are a majority.

yes and why do that happen and why mostly to christian people?? cause of the stupid islamist people so we have to get our own federal state isnt it so that all assyrians can move to this place.


well we will see becuase the nineveh plains are majority inhabited by assyrians.

i would like that the north iraq would be just inhabited by kurds(include sina,shia,yezedi,shabak), assyrians(include assyrians, astrologigs and syriac people) and well the turkman.

so we have to get our own federal state isnt it so that all assyrians can move to this place.

And leave the rest of Iraq for the terrorists? We have to clear all of the country not only reagions inhabited by christians. There are 1 million kurds in Baghdad, they are happy to live there we cant just tell them "hey come to Kurdistan if you want to be safe", they need to be protected there which is easier said than done, i admit that.

Migration is happening all over the world, the shia-arabs of Kerkuk who are going to be sent back (according article 58 ) are still allowed to return to look for jobs all over Kurdistan, as there is an influx now of arab-workers in Sulaymania. History shows that countries are not safe from civil war/dictatorship if they are homogenous..
What i mean is, as it is impossible and morally wrong to perform full scale ethnic cleansing in Iraq, you also dont have an assurance that there wont be kidnappings,rapings, civil war when the regions are homogenous.

but hmm good luck by getting the islamist out of iraq its hard to do that you have to bring parts of the land under your contral but belive me arabs dont care about assyrians or about kurds if they coudl they would vanish us out of that area or arabizie us.

No they wouldn't... They would make us their slaves, buttlers, secretaries, waterboys etc... They would make us do all their dirty job - and call us less worthy than Arabs...

That story was SICK.

The story was sick indeed, a few refugees coming in turkey told me stories of that kind...

Thats the truth what happen in Iraq everyday day for day assyrians and other people are raped, killed, excucated etc.

specially christians have now a bad live a very bad one they have to creat as soon as poosbile an save heaven for the christian people thats very important for the existing of Assyrians in Iraq neither they´ll all leave the reason you have read in that text.

thats the islamist world and that will stay so.

But i hope Kurds will have soon more power in Iraq and i hope too that they wont act like their own opresser did.

We have to work for peace in middle east and we have to vanish out the islamist in the world all those peoplse who want bad thing should be banned out of the world.

This is a sad turn of evets for the Assyrians.....

On the point of homogenious nation states... there aren't any... they are a myth like Jesus and God......
