Today November 20, 2013, Dr. Barham Salih, Deputy Secretary General of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, received Brett MacGurk, head of a delegation from the US Foreign Ministry to Iraq.
During the meeting, both sides concentrated on strengthening relations between KRG and the United States. Dr. Barham Salih talked about the recent political issues of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Best mechanisms and ways to form the new cabinet of Kurdistan Region Government were also discussed. The importance of solving the pending issues between Kurdistan Region and Baghdad was another part of the meeting.
The US Foreign Ministry Delegation assured Dr. Barham Salih of the US support in solving the issues and also enhancing the relations between KRG and the USA.
