The Iraqi High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has today December 18, 2013, officially approved the request of KRG to hold Provincial elections of the Kurdistan Region on April 30 of the next year, along with the parliamentary elections of Iraq.
Miqdad Sharifin in the IHEC has informed PUKmedia that today the IHEC in a meeting confirmed the request of KRG.
He said that the provincial elections of the region will be held on the abovementioned date. He also said the IHEC will finish all the preparations needed to the elections.
