I don't see how this is going to hurt Erdogan.

- if anything this will shore up some Kurdish votes, most feel relieved to finally see his picture and he looks pretty good.

- the Turkish voters are already polarized and his supporters are aware that talks are accuring.

- this might slightly energize Erdogans opponents, but the effect will be minimul because this is nothing new and they are already outraged.
