In two separate meetings today, February 11, 2014, Bahroz Mohammed Salih, Sulaimani Governor, received an Italian delegation and UNCIEF director in Iraq.
In the first meeting, Salih met with the Italian Consul General in Kurdistan Region and representatives of 9 Italian companies.
The Governor discussed developing economic and trade ties with Italy, promoting and motivating Italian companies to invest and start businesses in Kurdistan Region. “We have projects and budget, and we are waiting for more companies to come and help us in implementing our plans,” Salih added.
Later, the Italian companies showed their potentials to a number of representatives of Sulaimani departments in terms of agriculture, water supplying, and architecture.
In another occasion, Sulaimani Governor welcomed UNCIEF director in Iraq and an accompanying delegation.
The UNICEF director pointed out the organization`s efforts in helping the refugees by providing them with education, equipments, and regular services.
On his side, Bahroz Salih praised the organization`s efforts and showed his readiness to aid the refugees that come from Central Iraq.
