Amed:Boy run over by police has sadly died

Nineteen years-old Şahin Öner who was run over by a scorpion type armored police vehicle in the main Kurdish city Diyarbakır died late Sunday.

Öner was run over by a police vehicle as police attacked demonstrators who took to the streets today in the neighborhood of Şehitlik in Amed's Yenişehir district in protest against the 15 February conspiracy against Abdullah Öcalan, jailed leader of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

15 February, when Öcalan was captured in Kenya by Turkish special agents acting in connection with CIA and Mossad, while on route from the Greek embassy to Nairobi airport in 1999, is a “black day” for the Kurdish people.

Hundreds of people have staged protest demonstrations today in the provinces of Şırnak, Hakkari, İstanbul and Amed as well as its districts Ergani, Sur, and Kayapınar.
