Police attacks 15 February march in Kızıltepe

Police attacked the 15 February march organized by Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) in Mardin's Kızıltepe district. A civilian, Ramazan Ay, was injured as he was brutally hit by police on the head.
Hundreds of people, including Kızıltepe Deputy Mayor Haşim Baday, BDP district chair and executives as well as representatives of MEYA-DER, KURDİ-DER and non-governmental organizations, have gathered at Özgürlük (Freedom) Square on Friday to mark the 14th anniversary of the capture of Abdullah Öcalan, the jailed leader of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
Police attacked the people with pressure water and gas bombs as they started to march to Martrys Cemetery to visit the grave of Ferhat Kuray, a leading executive of the PKK.
Demonstrators responded to police attack with stones as a demonstrator was injured on the head during the police attack.
Clashes between police and demonstrators are continuing in some places.
