IRBIL, March 4 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Kurdistan Region welcomed on Monday peace efforts between the Turkish government and Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
The remarks were made in a press conference after the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region government Nechirvan Idris Barzani's meeting with a Kurdish-Turkish delegation from Turkey, which included members of the Turkish and Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party along with Turkish members of parliament.
The visitors conveyed a letter from the party leader Abdullah Ocalan to members of the party in the Mountain Qandil.
Barzani expressed his government readiness to provide all necessary measures and reach peace with Turkey, describing current peace efforts exerted by the two sides as "important."
