Maybe all of this was done so the KDP can shift the blame on the opposition parties for helpibf Salih Muslim enter SK. Because Turkey and maybe some others like the US were pressuring KRG not to let him in, most likely so that he can not attend the Geneva talks.

And now there are reports that he finally crossed using a smugglers route, so he can travel from Slemani to Europe with the help of opposition parties.

I also think it is that bad - there is definitely resentment building up between the two sides - also the PKK have not forgiven the fact that they were not allowed to take part in the KRG elections

Remember there was a time some years ago when the KRG wanted to get rid of the PKK from the Kandil mountains - I think it was mostly due to public pressure for Kurdish unity that the PKK were allowed to remain - there is little love between the two sides

They did : they have a surgeon party in South, PÇKD, but they fail at elections : no more than 3000 votes, I believe.
