ANKARA, Turkey, March 16 (UPI) -- The head of a Kurdish separatist party has proposed completing a withdrawal of its fighters from Turkey this summer.

Abdullah Ocalan, during a meeting this week with deputies from Turkey's Parliament, proposed a cease-fire and the removal of his Kurdistan Workers' Party forces from Turkey by June 16, the Hurriyet Daily News reported Saturday.

The meeting took place at the prison where Ocalan was being held by Turkish authorities. The deputies were from the Peace and Democracy Party.

The editor of the daily Radikal also attended the meeting and said a third parliamentary delegation would meet with Ocalan next week.

Unfortunately, I was right :-o

Where are all the people would doubted me and even insulted me because I told them that the so-called Peace Plan was nothing more than a surrender and said that Ocalan had betrayed all the PKK fighters who had given up their lives fighting for a FREE KURDISTAN

When the PKK leave Turkey they will have given up any chance of being the Army of a Free Northern Kurdistan and they will never be returning to the Kurdish lands that they have been fighting and dying for :((

At some point this war will have to end, they can't beat us by force and we can't beat them by force. We can achieve much more with politics and eventually we will get autonomy and from their independence. Turkey has taken major steps and they seem to be sincere, I just wish the bdp and pkk wouldn't be all about serok apo.

ASLAN I did NOT mean you :ymhug:

I have been receiving some really nasty comments on this site because I dared to accuse Ocalan of betraying the PKK. My friend has been receiving threats on her facebook account because I used it when mine was blocked.

I stated that Ocalan would be telling the PKK to leave Turkey but most people would not take any notice.

When Ocalan himself tells PKK to leave Turkish soil perhaps then others will realise exactly what he has become since his imprisonment :ymdevil:

:ymdevil: you are getting brave :ymdevil:

You are young you see what is happening :D I am old I see what is happening and I remember what happened when Ocalan was arrested and the PKK tried to become a political organisation. I remember the splits within the PKK X(

This time it will be MUCH WORSE because this time young people know what is happening. They have the internet and they learn from it :D They know what is happening in the rest of the world. I expect many of them know about all the countries that have gained freedom over the past 14 years :D

Young Kurds do not want their dreams shattered. When out of touch, brainwashed Ocalan tells them to forget all their family members and friends who have died fighting for a free Kurdistan and become Turks again, I have the distinct feeling that they will NOT comply :ymdevil:

When the PKK leave Turkish soil there will be nobody to control the youth :ymdevil:

You are very childish. You dont can equate PKKs withdrawal with the elimination of northern Kurds. Nobody can destroy the Kurdish people. The Kurds can create new movements and tactics to free north Kurdistan.

The PKK have developed a well defined infrastructure, if they leave Turkish soil the Turkish regime will make sure that no other organisation is ever able to take its place.

If I, a non Kurd who has had friends killed while fighting for Freedom, feels absolutely furious at the betrayal and disregard now being shown towards all the PKK freedom fighters who have given their lives for a Free Kurdistan, how much more let down and betrayed must Kurds who have lost friends and relations feel.

I wrote this for a PKK friend of mine 13 years ago - a man with no name - from him I learnt the passion of the freedom fighters and the love of Kurdistan so strong that they would give up family and friends to fight for the freedom of the Kurdish people and the right to be a Kurd :-D

To him and to others who must remain unnamed I vowed that I would give Kurdish people my continual support :x

Long years ago - as I sat in a restaurant with my Kurdish friends - one from Turkey one from Iraq - we needed translators to enable us to speak with each other - my friends spoke of their history and their hopes for future generations - and of the sadness of they both felt as Kurds sitting next to each other yet not being able to speak to each other :((

Perhaps they are both dead now :(( But I will NEVER forget :((

I dedicate this to all Kurdish Freedom Fighters :x

I am Peace - He is War

I am Peace, He is War
In love I am rich, in money I am poor
I am a psychic, many things do I see
I am a healer, for peace I must plea

War is He, Peace am I
He's of a people who suffer and die
During His struggle, He gave up his wife
Now i pray He won't give up his life

I am Peace, His friend I'll be
He is War, but I'll make him see
The only way forward if for people to share
We'll all work together, to make people care.

Adana is south east Turkey, it can go wherever it want.

If a movement failed, a new movement can come.

Accourding to your logic Mustafa Barzani should never start a new movement after Mahmud Barzanjis revolt.
