People of Kirkuk look forward to participating in largest Kurdish traditional dance

Some people of Kirkuk are delightedly looking forward to participating in the largest Kurdish traditional dance, which is to be carried out on Newroz in an attempt to enter the Guinness book of world records.

Activist Awzezan Nuri told Kirkuk Now “We will visit Erbil to participate in the largest Kurdish traditional dance, which is going to be held to enter the Guinness book of world records.”

“Kurdish traditional dance is part of the genuine Kurdish culture and all the participants will take part in the event wearing Kurdish traditional clothing,” she added.

Marwa Adil, another activist stated “Our goal is to enter the Guinness book of world records for the largest Kurdish traditional dance ever held.”

The event which has been previously planned is set to be carried out near the Erbil citadel.

“The goal of the event in to introduce the Kurdish culture and tradition to the world,” Marwa commented.

March 21 in the first day of the Kurdish calendar year with different parties, festivals and cultural carnivals being carried out each year.
