Head of the Kurdistan autonomy of Iraq Massoud Barzani has promised to provide all militants of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party laying down their arms with housing and jobs in Erbil, the Sabah newspaper reported on Thursday.

According to Barzani, he supports the disbandment of the militants leaving Turkish territory and is ready to provide the necessary assistance in the successful completion of this process.

Iraqi Kurdish autonomy authorities are already working to create jobs for PKK members laying down their arms and their adaptation to normal life in Erbil, Barzani said.

Earlier imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan called on the organisation to lay down its weapons and leave the country.
Turkish authorities in turn promised all PKK militants that have laid down their weapons the facility for a safe exit.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK requiring creation of an independent Kurdish state, continues for more than 25 years, and has claimed more than 40,000 lives. PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by the UN and the European Union.

I think it would be a mistake. Thousands of unemployed fighters could be troublemakers in the area. The PKK could use them to destabilize the KRG, as PLO did in Jordania and Lebanon. They have already tried in Domiz Camp. I doubt that the PKK will let free all these members to its political control.

And if Erdogan controls Öcalan who controls the PKK, then KRG will be trapped from inside in Turkey's aims. No need to send Turkish army to Erbil, PKK will be on the place.

In 1989, France welcomed 350 S. Kurdish refugees fleeing Anfal in a military camp, in our central mountains called 'Auvergne, where they began to live among our farmers and mountaineers . Now many of their children are set in Southern France, some of them achieved good studies.

Perhaps the PKK could place an advert on the internet:

"Wanted home for several thousand PKK freedom fighters"

Would countries all over the world flock to give these ex-freedom fighters a home, I for one, do NOT believe they would be welcome anywhere

I do NOT believe that Turkey would be happy for the PKK to live next door in South Kurdistan, much too close for the comfort of Turkey

I think that the PKK should adhere to the cease-fire and remain living in Turkey

The Anti Kurdish State France should first of all say who the Killer of Sakine Cansiz was. They know it very well but because of the good relationships to the Turkish Facist State they don't say it.

Saying that French State is pro-Turkish is equally foolish than saying France is pro-Kurdish. If you are stuck in that childish level in policy, don't expect to have a large view concerning the future of your movement. All States are working only for their own interests, that is Realpolitik.

Concerning Cansiz 's killer, if Turkey is behind him, then it does not seem trouble a lot Öcalan himself, for he orders to Kurds to kiss their Turkish brothers and to forget the past.

If Kurds themselves renounce to revenge, why France will fight for N. Kurds claiming that they love Turkish republic ? PKK will lost soon any right to complain about Turkish State.

You know very well what I mean with Anti Kurdish. Everyone knows that it's only about interests. And that's what I'm saying.
It's just a fact that France, much much more than any other country in Europe ,especially under the time of Sarkozy made disgusting Anti Kurd contracts with the Turkish terrorists.
And for years now they commit crimes against Kurds by attacking Kurdish Cultural Centers and put people in jail and try to destroy important Kurdish figures.
They even have their fingers in capturing Kurds in Spain. It's just the classical policy of an imperial country who now invaded Mali with the pretense of combating terrorism. At the same time they support the similar terrorists in Syria.

So however, don't be surprised if Kurds has an antipathy against this State. It's not against the French people ,so don't take it too personal.


And concerning Sakine Cansiz. Don't try to deny it. You know that the French State knows it very well. They have tons of pictures from every single person who enter this building. And it's more than likely that the French Secret Service took their part in this assasination.

That'S however not the topic here but nevertheless it needs to be said.

So there is 5000 PKK fighters in Qandil and other area at most .The cost of building a house in southern Kurdistan is 60,000 at most .

5000 X $60000 =$30,000,000

which is the cost of war for a month . Not bad at all even if turkey end up paying for the whole thing .

And I don't care if Kurds hate or not French State. If now they are ready to kiss Turkey's hands, it won't last a lot.

Concerning the murder of rue Lafayette claiming that France is guilty could be a way for the PKK to forget their own mistake concerning security of ppl they employed. The thesis of general plot is an easy way to avoid one's own responsibility.

I repeat that sheltering 5000 of PKK in KRG is non sense. They are not 'innocent and apolitical refugees and the PKK had never had good relations with KRG. It is the role of Turkey to care of that problem.

Was a time when the PKK were fighting for an Independent Kurdistan and Kurds from all over the world went to the mountains and joined up. At one stage there were 60,000 freedom fighters

After Ocalan's arrest and his first betrayal of the Kurdish dream, when he told the PKK NOT to fight for independence and demanded that the PKK surrender, causing a great many to be hunted down and murdered, the actual number of fighters has gone from 60,000 to an unbelievable 5,000

Ocalan's behaviour after his arrest caused a great deal of dissension and in-fighting within the PKK. Many of us remember the splits within the party. I do NOT understand why Kurds are so willing to follow Ocalan now. It can only be, as Fire so rightly stated, Ocalan has become a cult figure

The PKK fighters are highly trained, highly organised and very experienced hardened fighters

Mercenaries and security personnel are paid a great deal of money

Perhaps another country would even hire them all to supplement their own army

Neither Ocalan nor erDOGan are willing for there to be a North Kurdistan

Ocalan wants a UNITED TURKEY - so there will be NO North Kurdistan

The main problems between France and Turkey does not concern the Kurds, btw, but the question of Armenian genocide and the entry of Turkey in UE.

Rightist politicians in France are anti PKK. Leftists are anti Turkish nationalists. So Hollande could be more pro Kurdish than Sarkozy but with Imrali peace process, France stays neutral with a great relief. We are very busy with Mali and could not decide if yes or no we'll intervene in Syria. So Northern Kurds are not the main target of policy.
