Hilton Worldwide to open 3rd property in Kurdistan, Iraq
Posted: Mon Apr 15, 2013 9:08 pmHilton Worldwide recently announced its expansion in Iraq's semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan into the city of Sulaymaniyah following the signing of a management agreement with Kurdonia Company for Tourism and Hospitality Ltd, owned fully by Hiwa Rauf Company. The 223-room DoubleTree by Hilton Sulaymaniyah is expected to open in early 2015, according to a report by AME Info.com.
The hotel will be the third Hilton Worldwide pipeline property in Kurdistan, Iraq and the first for Kurdistan's second largest city of Sulaymaniyah.
DoubleTree by Hilton Sulaymaniyah will be ideally located on the main city thoroughfare and within the new central business district surrounded by upscale residential, commercial and government offices.
