The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Executive Board member Aldar Xelîl spoke to Özgür Gündem about the current situation in Rojava, western Kurdistan, and its future goverance.
Referring a recent meeting between Syrian Kurdish National Council (Encumena Nîþtîmanî ya Kurdî li Sûriyeyê-ENKS) and People's Assembly of Rojava Kurdistan (Meclîsa Gelê Rojavayê Kurdistanê-EGRK) in Qamislo last Friday, Xelîl said that the meeting of two bodies ended up with an agreement to form an interim administration in Rojava.
Remarking that none of 16 parties under ENKS was forced to join the interim administration, Xelîl said that all parties agreed with their own will on the establishment of an interim administration which -he said- would include not only Kurds, but also other belief and political groups such as Assyrians, Syriacs, Chaldeans and Christians should they demand to participate it with their own will.
Following the agreement on the formation of an interim administration, EGRK and ENKS held public meetings in many towns of Rojava, discussing the developments in the region and informing people about the decisions of the Supreme Kurdish Council.
