YPG announces suspension of activities during Eid al-Adha
Posted: Tue Oct 15, 2013 10:58 pmIn a written statement released on Monday, People's Defense Units (YPG) General Command announced suspension of activities during the Eid al-Adha from 15 to 18 October.
YPG said that their forces would carry out no acts and avoid clashes during the four days eid, noting that this decision has been made upon the call by political parties and circles, and for the protection of Islamic manners and customs and respect for human values.
YPG Command stressed that they would continue to provide protection for the people during the eid, and that they would remain in defense position and response to any attack to come from the side of armed gang groups.
YPG ended its statement by voicing wishes for the achievement of permanent peace for Syrian peoples and West Kurdistan.
