Muslim also claims his group, the Democratic Union Party also known as P-Y-D, has gained so much ground in northern Syria in recent days after Ankara stopped supporting al-Qaeda-linked groups.
P-Y-D is engaged in clashes with radical groups over control of several key towns in northern Syria along the Turkish border. Meanwhile, the Turkish government has rejected supporting al-Qaeda-linked groups.
Even western media has reported that Turkey’s border region of Hatay is swarming with takfiri militants consisting of several nationalities including Libyans, Mauritanians, and Egyptians. Previously western media especially American media painted Turkey as only helping refugees for a humanitarian agenda. Experts believe Ankara has changed its approach towards Syria after Washington decided not to launch a military offensive on Syria.
