Barham Salih: Strategic alliance of PUK, KDP will continue.After the meeting to discuss the forming of the new KRG cabinet, Barham Salih, PUK Deputy Secretary General, and Nechirvan Barzani, KDP Deputy President, held a press conference.
In the press conference, Dr. Barham Salih highlighted the main themes of the meeting that took place between PUK and KDP political bureaus. He said that PUK "will actively participate in the new KRG cabinet.”
He further added, "we are still bound to the strategic alliance between us, which has given our people some great achievements.”
On his side, Nechirvan Barzani said, “no political party of the region will be ignored in participating in forming the new cabinet.”
Regarding the governor of Suleimani, he announced, “we do not urge any changes right now regarding the governor and we decided that the provincial elections should take place on April 30th of the next year.”
