Thousands in the west Kurdistan city of Efrin staged a march to protest against Massoud Barzani, president of Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government, in relation with his statements against the Rojava revolution and the Democratic Union Party (PYD).

Referring to the statements of Barzani who claimed there was no Rojava revolution and spoke against the PYD, Behçet Berekat, deputy president of Efrin People's Assembly, said that “They are denying the revolution which has been attained with the blood of hundreds of youngsters. This denial is the denial of the blood of these youngsters and the denial of the labor of our people”.

Berekat, remarking that Kurds in Rojava have established dozens of institutions and are gradually building an autonomous system now with the self organization and power of the people, stressed that Barzani denied the revolution, the self-sacrifice and the labor of people in Rojava to give a message to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. “This is a message which declares support to the organizations acting together with gang groups, such as Al Parti and Azadi, and promises to continue the attacks against Rojava”, Berekat underlined.

Noting that Erdoğan and Barzani made an agreement in Amed on keeping the attacks on Rojava going, Berekat underlined that “As a people and free citizens, we will be taking sides with our defense forces and responding to the attacks with an aim to institutionalize our revolution”.

I cannot help but think that we do not know the entire truth behind these events - you will have to search further because it does not sound right :-?

Barzani has lost Rojava, this is a monumental failure. From the very begging, they made mistakes, and succumbed to the manipulations of adversaries.

No, I'm not saying that, I'm just saying that he made mistakes obviously losing the hearts if minds of many Kurds.

Did barzani apologized to turkish government ? did he say my mother is turkish ? did he say that he will serve turkish republic ? did he ordered thousands of PKK to disarm and get hunted by turkish soldiers just save his neck ? did barzani ever said that he is against establishing a kurdish state ? did Barzani ordered the exile of all political parties in southern kurdistan ?

They like PKK/PYD so much ? pirsoz bet  . As I mentioned in the past , you can never talk or work with PKK . You either work for them or you are against them .

Rojava is not 100% for PYD, even in Efrîn, but they are strongly controlled and oppressed and racketed by its Asayish. Opponents to PKK have to shut their mouth or going away or die. I know well known politicians in Efrîn who are threatened by these so-called pro-Unity of all Kurds.

The PKK murdered Mizgin Sen on the order of Ocalan - people either support the PKK - stay quiet - or vanish

I doubt Barzani has really lost much support - and protests are generally organised for political gain with often little founding in factual matters

I also doubt if many Kurds in Syrian occupied Kurdistan - have actually forgotten that while THOUSANDS of their people were fighting and dying for independence as members of the PKK - and at a time when many of them were being imprisoned, tortured and murdered by the Syrian regime - Ocalan was the honoured guest of that same Syrian regime

I only went on one protest that was not organised - though after it started my friend organised some parts of the protest - the PKK had a brilliant system of threatening and shaming people into closing their shops and joining the protests X(

Kaka Londoner , honestly I'm sick of these cheap , shallow , self serving tactics . Just watch their media and you will see that they attack KRG and Barzani more than Iran , Iraq , Turkey , syria combined     . Salih muslim's speeches are 50% kissing ocalan's ass and the other 50% is attacking KRG and Barzani .

I get it , we are all kurds and we should support each other , but since when PKK/PYD are looking after the interest of Kurds and Kurdistan ?.Their entire agenda is based on serving Ocalan at the expense of the entire kurdish nation and when Ocalan sneezes they all go down to their knees . Man this is just wrong and we are much better than that .

Dear Talsor, try to step back a little and try to look at this objectively. It's not about Ocalan or Barzani, PKK, or PDK. it's about Kurdistan and right now it is very dynamic, anything could happen.
