Upon participating in the ninth round of Sulaimani International Exhibition today, Nov 20, 2013, Bahroz Salih, Governor of Sulaimani, announced that “due to the positive security conditions exist in the area and wide borders of trade with neighboring Iran, Sulaimani has become an important trade center.”

He also added that the exhibition is a way to introduce the suitable investment and trade situations of Sulaimani to foreign companies and inverters.

Then, answering the questions asked by the press regarding security issues, he said: “Security situation in Sulaimani is calm. Outlaws and criminals will not be able to escape the security forces.”

The Governor also pointed out that he hopes for the political disputes to be ended with dialogue and negotiations because these disputes will have negative effects on trading and marketing in the area.

162 local and foreign companies have participated in the ninth round of Sulaimani International Exhibition which is going to continue for 4 days. The exhibition was presided by Sulaimani Business Room and Kurdistan Regional Government, with the presence of Business Room of all other provinces of Iraq.
