Today evening, the Kurdistan Region experienced a tragic event, which was a car fire accident, causing death of more than 7 people.

The car fire accident started from a truck tanker carrying oil on the highway of Zakho and Duhok.

From the tanker, the fire spread to a chain of cars on the highway, causing 7 people to die and a number of others injure.

The police sources of the area has confirmed the news and said that they controlling the fire, and transforming the injured ones to the nearest hospitals of the area.

This is in the geli Zaxo which multiple accident happens every year . KRG is making 2 tunnels through the mountains to link Zaxo with dohuk and avoiding the geli .Hopefully this road will be phased out soon enough .
