A security source from Tikrit told PUKmedia that a terrorist group has captured the building of Salahaddin TV channel and took all of its personnel as hostages.
The source further added that the terrorists have blocked traffic in the area and that Salahaddin TV is still broadcasting, but the broadcast is distorted. Salahaddin TV is an Iraqi satellite channel and its building is located in Tikrit. The channel has been established in 2006 and is funded by Council of Salahaddin.
Due to the incident, currently police and security forces have established a curfew in the entire city.
