Kurds in Aleppo call for immediate aid

Thousands of families in the Sheik Maksoud neighborhood of the mainly Kurdish city of Aleppo in Western Kurdistan called for immediate aid from Kurds and human rights organizations and international aid organizations.

Some seven thousand families called for help in the face of the siege of their territory by armed radical groups and military forces of the Ba’ath regime, and the ongoing violent clashes in their neighborhood. Military forces and armed groups are also denying the transition of humanitarian and food aid to the region.
The Kurdish red crescent Heyva Sor a Kurdistan’s aid stations in Kurdish neighborhoods are also reported to be running short of medical supplies, and concerns are being voiced over the emergence of communicable diseases in the region.

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Aleppo province: Fighters from Jabhat al-Nusra and an armed Islamist movement executed yesterday 10 captive soldiers detained during the clashes over the al-Kendi hospital. The captives were shot dead after a being tried in a ‘Sharia court’.
Raqqah province: Violent clashes between ISIS against Islamist battalions and rebels in Barid al-Dar’iya in Raqqah city. Clashes also between the two groups overnight in the city of al-Tabqa. rebel forces target regime positions in the 17th battalion with rockets, no reports on the number of losses.

Hasakah province: Clashes between YPG and Islamist battalions by the town of Tel Berak, Reef Hasakah. Violent clashes between the YPG against the ISIS and islamist battalions in the village of al- Husseiniya. 5 YPG fighters were killed by clashes with several islamist battalions in the village of al-Husseiniya, near the town of Tal Hamis 2 days ago. Reports that the YPG have taken over several bases in the village. 1 Kurdish fighter with al-Nusra was killed yesterday by clashes with the YPG near Tal Hamis.

Deir Ezzour province: Regime forces are bombarding parts of Deir Ezzour city amid violent clashes between regime forces and Jabhat al-Nusra and several Islamist battalions in the Resafa neighbourhood. 2 non-Syrian Arab ISIS fighters were killed by clashes with rebels from several Islamist battalions and rebel battalions in eastern countryside of the province; the clashes came after the ISIS took over a grain storage centre (taken and used by a rebel battalion as a base) 2 days ago.

Aleppo province: A regime rocket fell on the Sakhour neighbourhood. Reports that the ISIS bases in the Ma’ara area were surrendered to fighters from Jabhat al-Nusra, which is working as an intermediary between the Islamist battalions and non-Islamist rebels on one side and the ISIS on the other in the town of Tal Rif’at; Islamist battalions and rebels have made gains in the town. Residents of Anadan town went out and protested against the ISIS.

Approximately 60 fighters killed today during clashes between non-regime groups: 59 fighters, 9 ISIS and the rest were fighters from Islamist and non-islamist rebel groups, were killed by clashes between them, car bombs and attacks on vehicles in the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Raqqah and Hama. The dead include 7 captive rebels who were executed by the ISIS when their base was sieged in the Harem area, Reef Idlib. There are reports of further combatant casualties amongst both sides but it has been difficult to document until now.
