Some newspapers (BBC and Le Monde) talk about kurdish military action coordinated with the iraqi army and the back up of the US air forces around the Mosul dam. Do you know what they mean? Are there iraqi soldiers and iraqi weaponry up there?

As far as I could read, thousands of Peshmergas and only 150 Iraqi soldiers led by a Kurdish commander. Of course, the US air forces allowed them to retake the dam.
