
French MP asks Interior Minister question on Paris Kurd massacre

PARIS,— French Green Party deputy Noël Mamère put the question regarding the investigation into the murders of Kurdish activists Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez in Paris on January 9, 2013 to the Interior Minister.
French deputy has asked the French Interior Minister why it has acted so slowly as regards finding those responsible for the murder in Paris of three Kurdish revolutionary women.
The Minister is expected to reply to the question in the coming days.
Mamère recalled that it has been a year since the murders and that the families of Cansız, Doğan and Şaylemez were awaiting answers,www.Ekurd.net telling French Interior Minister Manuel Valls that: "The murder of the 3 Kurdish women has created trauma in the Kurdish community in Europe"
Noël recalled that the murders had occurred at the same time as talks began between the Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the Turkish state, adding:
“Shortly after these murders a Turkish citizen was arrested. It emerged that the person in question had travelled numerous times between France and Turkey and had had many phone conversations with unidentified persons. The families wish to know if a decision was taken at a meeting
held on 25-26 September 2013 between the Interior Minister and the Turkish Secret Service (MIT) (MİT) to strengthen co-operation. Also, the question recalled that the minister had stated at the scene of the murders that "these crimes are unbearable" and that he had told the Kurdish community of "the determination of the French authorities to resolve them".
The question continued, saying: "It is nearly a year since these murders took place. The families hope that the French authorities' determination is continuing and want to believe that as the result of transparent co-operation with the Turkish authorities the culprits will be revealed. The French authorities must resolve these murders that were committed on French soil."
