Wake up lazy kurds and support those who are dying

PostAuthor: Anthea » Thu Nov 22, 2012 11:53 pm

People fight and destroy each other

There are enough Kurds in the world to stand up and win international support with ever firing another shot

Today a hospital in Aleppo was bombed

Tomorrow it could be a children's home

Every day people are killing each other and destroying the planet we live on

How can there be a free Kurdistan if there is NO planet

It is time to stop killing

There are MILLIONS of LAZY Kurds living in safe countries who do nothing while their friends and families are being destroyed

WAKE UP KURDS if you want freedom STAND UP and SPEAK OUT LOUD

Leave a world for our children to enjoy

Unfortunatly I am not the President of the United States, so I can't really help you. There are Kurds around the world, but the older generation unfortunetly came, because of war they are uneducated ( maybe 10% is educated outside middle east). For us to make a difference the younger generation including myself need to study be a lawyer, engineer, MP, ect.

I spoke to one of my oldest friends earlier today :D
He has NO interest In Kurdish politics or what is happening in NK he is only interested in making money

I have just spent an hour on the phone to my BEST friend :D
She has NO interest in Kurdish politics or what is happening in NK she is only interested in making money

I spoke to another of my oldest friends earlier today :D

I could write this a 100 times

THESE people are ALL KURDS

In England, most Kurds from NK are not interested in what is happening and because Kurds seldom mix with non-Kurds very few non-Kurdish people ever know what is happening either X(

BUT

If every Kurd living in a safe country away from the conflict made at least ONE non-Kurdish friend and gained their support

Kurds would have MILLIONS of supporters worldwide :ymparty:

Anthea please, There is no single struggle you can find me in this world, where the majority of people is actively involved. After 100 years of oppression, its a miracle and only shows the strong will of Kurds that they are still fighting for their rights. You as a non Kurd cant understand this. For you its more like a game. You didnt had to go through all the oppression millions of Kurds have gone and still have to go through. You expect that all Kurds for more than a century forget about normal life and only care about a struggle. This is impossible and you will not find this anywhere else.

Its always a big minority which takes arms and fights for what the majority wants, while the big majority supports them in some way.

The problem is not that Kurds are "too passive" in contrary Kurds are the most active people fighting for their rights imo. The problem is that the biggest enemy of Kurdish rights is a god damn NATO member and the whole world turns blind eye even while millions of Kurds gather together on Newroz in Diyarbakir and ask for more right, but if several thousand Kosovarians, which are the enemies of Serbs and Russians ask for the same Kurds do, they get a hell of attention.

We Kurds have no friends but the mountains get over it. And without support from high above its harder to establish something.

I mean just look around yourself! A number of Free Syrian Army fighters die in clashes with the Syrian Regime you have all news agencies reporting about this incident for at least a week. Kurds get attacked by armed thugs sponsored by Turkey, in which several civilians got killed and kidnapped. Turkey bombs the area with jets to attack Kurds (not the Syrian Regime) and have you seen even one fu.. western TV station or one western government giving it just a little of attention and condeming it as they give to the Israeli-Palestinian or FSA-Syrian Regime conflict?

So please dont tell me that we Kurds are "too passive".

SAD FACTS

When Kurds go on protest marches in UK they seldom if ever have any media coverage here. Our media mentions that a lot of refugees are leaving Syria due to the fighting BUT they NEVER mention that many of the refugees are Kurdish. I tell my English friends what is happening and they do not believe me because it is NEVER in the news.

When I first made friends with some lovely Kurdish people THEY were the ones who taught me about the problems Kurds have. My friends were VERY political and heavily involved and I became more interested because of their involvement. I watched grown men cry when they told me all the terrible things that had happened to them. I went to MANY meetings, got involved in community groups. When Ocalan was arrested my Kurdish friends and I were the first people outside the Greek embassy in London. THEN those same friends discovered MONEY and lost ALL interest in Kurdistan.

Kurds in NK are taught TURKISH history in schools and I believe that the MOST important thing that should be done is to teach the young people KURDISH HISTORY.

Do Kurdish men from NK support the community centres so that their wives and families have somewhere to go. A place where the young people can learn the TRUE history of the Kurds. A place where Kurds can learn KURDISH. NO they support the kahves, illegal gambling shops and cafés. Their wives and children watch TURKISH TV programs all day. :ymsick:

I wanted to attend the conference in London last weekend BUT I could NOT find anyone to go with me. (I am not very strong since I had an accident and spent 3 years in a wheelchair. After several operations I can walk a bit but cannot travel very far on my own) did not want you to think that I was too lazy to go. :-o

One of my LAZY Kurdish friends who REFUSED to go to the IMPORTANT conference on Kurds last weekend wanted me to join them for a business meeting this weekend X( That friend is now only interested in MONEY.

Many of my Kurdish friends from NK were strong supporters of the PKK and went to all the marches and protests. NOW they are British Citizens they have forgotten their Kurdish roots :((

I told people from the party many times that they must help and support the people more if they want the people to help them :ymdevil:

I would like to state that ALL my Kurdish friends from SK, EK and WK are still active supporters of the Kurdish cause :D

I insert my poem Kurdish Shame here:

SHAME ON YOU X(

I am Kurdish
Inside me beats a Kurdish heart
I was born in Lice
I speak Kurmanci
At school, many times I was beaten for using a Kurdish word
my parents were arrested and beaten, suffering for my word.
My school friends disappeared and my parents knew not where.
My uncles were killed by the Turkish army who pretended to be PKK.
My home was destroyed and my village was bombed.
My cousins were all taken by the army,
tortured, murdered and their bodies mutilated.
One of my uncles was made to join the army and attack this
his own village, but brave he was and took his life.
All use of Kurmanci long years banned.
Our singing and dancing denied to us
joy and laughter was no more.
Our names now Turkish as are those of our towns.
Army constantly raiding our homes, stealing our food
claiming we were saving it for the PKK
Soldiers searching us, tearing the clothes from our bodies
seeking Kurdish music or books in our homes and cars.
My are gone I know not where and my friends are all dead
I had to escape, tell the world of my plight.
I am Kurdish

Many thousands of pounds
to sit waterless in a cold dark lorry
Then the sun shines and I am free
A new country of my choice
I have a home, furniture and TV
A new passport and can go anywhere
Often people ask
'Are you joining us on the freedom march'
Go away I am watching football on my new TV
What do I need to march for
I am already free
I am British

KurdInEurope wrote:I agree. Many Kurds from NK are forgetting their roots in diaspora. Especially the older generation, though the newer generation has a strong nationalistic feeling. My parents dislike when I talk about the Kurdish cause, PKK etc. They think it is not healthy and that there's no future in supporting Kurds... what you read here, is successful Turkish propaganda my parents has bought, by watching Turkish news.

When I go to visit friends homes I ALWAYS tell them off if they are watching Turkish TV. In all the years of having Kurdish friend NONE of them has ever helped me to learn Kurdish X( Because most of them can ONLY use TURKISH

All I can do is write poems, sometimes I send them to MPs :D

I am trying to get people to help me compile a book of poems by Kurds (in English) all about Kurdish history. Nothing too heavy because we need people to read it and not just look at it as propaganda. Problem is I keep getting thrown off social network sites :ymdevil:
