This sky rockets the cost of labour, something UK never can afford. This may also dismantle all labour and business reforms of Lady Thatcher.

As I explained earlier the UK has more than enough semi skilled and unskilled labour - we urgently need skilled workers

If UK has more than enough semi skilled and unskilled labour what are the over hundred thousand skilled, semi skilled and manual labour from Eastern Europe doing in UK?

After Cameron, now Farage resigns from UKIP leadership. Strange that a pro-brexit acts the same as a pro-remain. Strange 'victory'.

But don't worry for his financial situation. STRANGELY he did not resign from EU parliament and then is still generously paid by an institution he attacks. In French it is called 'cracher dans la soupe'.

If Farage stays MP in EU now, in 2019 he could be retired with 5672€/ month.

But I am sure he will give most of these € to caritative organisations helping British people that Brexit has impoverished. :p

:-w Brexit opens door for stronger Russia-UK trade ties :ymapplause:

Britain’s vote to leave the European Union opens new opportunities for the development of business and trade relations between Russia and the UK, according to the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce (RBCC).

"Uncertainty affects moods of Britons more than Russians… But we expect that the turnover [between Russia and Britain – Ed.] will grow. It is true that London as a financial center may be hampered.. But we see it [Brexit – Ed.] as something that opens up new prospects and new opportunities," Russia's Director of the RBCC Alan Thompson told reporters.

He added that RBCC hopes Russia will once again become one of Britain’s trade priorities after the leaving the EU.

While commenting on the future of UK-Russian trade relations in the light of Brexit, Thomson said that Russia was one of the priorities in 2013. According to him, the UK government's official position before 2014 was "to expand and give to more British companies the opportunity to export and further diversify themselves to other countries.”

“We hope that Russia will come back to be one of the priorities because we believe that there are huge opportunities for the [UK – Ed.] companies to develop and play an active role in the economic growth of Russia," Thompson said.

The Russian Embassy in London said last month that Russia-UK trade has almost halved in 2015 as a result of the tit-for-tat sanctions between Russia and the European Union. According to the embassy, the total trade between the two countries fell by nearly 50 percent compared with 2014, and the loss is estimated at about $10 billion.

The volume of annual exports of British goods (including alcohol and soft drinks) to Russia was around £115 million ($168 million) in 2013, according to the Russian Embassy spokesman Konstantin Shlikov.

The European Union's top trade official Cecilia Malmstrom told BBC Newsnight on Thursday there will be no trade talks with Britain until its full Brexit.

"First you exit then you negotiate," Malmstrom said, adding that after Brexit the UK would become a "third country" in EU terms which means trade would be carried out based on WTO rules until a new deal was complete. A recent trade deal with Canada took seven years to negotiate.

Detailed talks to shape the UK's new trading relationship with the EU should not start until after the process of leaving politically. Under an Article 50 the process could last up to two years.

UK business groups have already called on the government to take “immediate and unambiguous” action to avert a shock to the British economy as a result of leaving the EU.

South Korea to seek free trade agreement with UK after Brexit :ymapplause:

The government of South Korea will push for a free trade agreement with the UK after Britain leaves the European Union, according to the national broadcaster KBS.

The decision was made during Friday’s meeting of ministers chaired by Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho, the broadcaster reported.

It also said the “government will maintain a stable level of foreign exchange reserves to prepare against financial jitters and make preparations to issue foreign exchange equalization bonds depending on the market situation.”

Financial market uncertainties emerged in the wake of the Brexit vote but South Korean officials say the situation has eased since then due to “response measures taken by major economies.”

However, they warn of possible escalating market repercussions depending on future developments should economic conditions deteriorate in the UK, reports KBS.

South Korea exported over $7 billion worth of goods to the UK last year which is 1.4 percent of the country's foreign trade.

As part of a national strategy for economic development, Seoul has earlier signed free trade agreements with a number of countries, including the US, China and the European Union.

Iceland wants UK to join Nordic alliance of non-EU countries :ymapplause:

After knocking England out of the European football, Iceland hopes Britain will join a new union after Brexit, shaping a northern "super-triangle" together with Norway.

“When Britain leaves the EU, we will see a triangle that covers a large part of the globe: Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Norway - and now the United Kingdom,” Iceland’s President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson said in an interview to Iceland Monitor.

The countries do not belong to the European Economic Area (EEA) or any part of the EU.

Grimsson suggests that after Brexit, the countries will potentially play a big role.

“It is about trade, diplomacy, commodities and several other fields,” Grimsson said, stressing that the Arctic, or the far north, would become more important not only in a European, but in a global context as well.

Our least bad #Brexit option is the EEA: the EU, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein would need to agree.

We have no Liechtenstein embassy.

The European Free Trade Association (EFTA), made up of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, will also become much more relevant after UK’s escape from the European bloc, according to the president.

“It is of course up to the British to decide what to do, but this could give the EFTA partners a more important role than in previous decades,” he said, adding that it would be a chance for Norway and Iceland to improve the working of the organization.

However, Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg does not share the same enthusiasm about the idea.

“Do we want Britain to be involved in dictating what EFTA negotiates with third countries? Will our key national interests be benefited by that? That is the discussion we need to have,” she told the Norwegian News Agency, pointing out that the organization could have good ties with Britain through other agreements.

— Dianne Cutlack (@persistentplays) June 30, 2016

Even if the trade bloc were probable, it was ”not nearly as desirable as what we are just giving up,” says Michael Dougan, Professor of EU law at Liverpool University as quoted by The Independent.

He added that to become a member of the EEA, Britain would need unanimous accord of all 27 member states, the European Parliament as well as the four European Free Trade Association countries.

Exciting times :D

Korean Horror Films are the scariest films ever made :-ss

Sadly - with all the immigration problems in Europe at the moment, the disturbances in US, the rise in ISIS violence and the large numbers of ISIS supporters in the UK - it is a shame we did not break away years ago

For many years UK has had radical Muslims enforcing Sharia Law in parts of UK also Muslims openly shouting out in the streets that they want to kill English people

The UK has not been able to deport these people due to the protection afforded them by the EU Human Rights regulations - hopefully soon we will be able to remove these trouble making scum

Probably the worst thing that has happened in the Muslim community recently - is the circulation of leaflets asking other Muslims to KILL Ahmadiyya Muslims X(

The tolerance of UK concerning religious extremists does not exist in UE at all. That is typically 'UK-Londonistan'. France banned burqa, has expelled many suspect imams, has voted now the right to take off French nationality to bi-nationals and to deport them, and forbids all religious signs in schools, state buildings, etc.

People who are against this 'hard secular attitude' praise often UK by showing some Muslim policewoman with hijeb.

That situation, 'Londonistan' has its roots in UK only. UE Court of Human rights has stated that banning burqa was not illegal, for example.

Moreover the deal with UE is simple : if you want the EU market, you swallow the freedom of movement. I don't know if Commonwealth imposes the same rules. There are no migrant muslims in Commonwealth ? Thought it was worse. :D

For those who think the Commonwealth is a tiny group of nations and that the UK should not bother about trading with them:

The Commonwealth covers more than 29,958,050 km2 (11,566,870 sq mi), almost a quarter of the world's land area, and spans all six inhabited continents. With an estimated population of 2.328 billion, nearly a third of the world population,[9] the Commonwealth in 2014 produced a nominal gross domestic product (GDP) of $10.45 trillion, representing 17% of the gross world product when measured in purchasing power parity (PPP) and 14% of the gross world product when measured nominally.

For those who think the Commonwealth is a tiny group of islands and if we allow commonwealth citizens to enter and work in the UK (as we did in the past before we ran into trouble with the DICTATORIAL EU regulations) there will not be enough of them to fill employment vacancies - I would like to point out that the the Commonwealth

Contains 53 member states with more than 2.328 billion inhabitants between them :ymparty:

Trouble with UK is people are frightened to speak the truth in case they are accused of racism X(

People criticizing islam are accused of racism in France also. Some are, some are not. But all religions have to accept to be criticized, as any political opinions, and their followers protected by law but not privileged. The wisdom is 'attack ideas if you like, but don't molest people'.

Perhaps the difference with UK is that French people are deeply – in their genes – against all interferences with religion and public life. So it will be the same reaction if the Catholic Church tries to influence government.

The truth also is that many ordinary muslims are fed up with these salafi movements. Islamists are the most sectarian and racist gang and claim all the time to be persecuted. In their mind, they don't live in EU but in "Victimistan'.

That's the contradiction. Brexiters and especially UKIP voted to prevent a fantasist invasion of foreigners in UK. So special agreements with Commonwealth will open UK to 2 billions of non-British people, among them many Muslims and Brown skins (UKIP nightmare).

They refused Polish workers ? They' ll have Paskistani :D (Good for Pakistani, btw, but I doubt that all Brexiters will appreciate).

Most English people would prefer to have West Indian nurses in our hospitals - rather than the recent influx of Polish builders who are decidedly less than popular here because they undercut UK workers

I believe that all countries should have the right to trade with any and all other countries :ymhug:

I believe that employers - especially the National Health Service that has a shortage of suitably qualified staff - should be allowed to employee the most qualified person for job whichever country they come from :D
