Why is Sorani always referred to as Kurdish and Kurmanci ignored ?

I have had LOTS of problems over the years trying to explain to officials that the Kurdish they provide translations for is in fact Sorani. Now even the CIA are ignoring other Kurds :-o

It would be much easier if the languages were defined as Southern Kurdish and Northern Kurdish :D

But what the heck does it matter as long as Kurds living in South Kurdistan call their country KURDISTAN and the Kurds living in North Kurdistan call the country they live in TURKEY and are HAPPY to make peace with their oppressors and remain living in TURKEY they will always be TURKISH in the eyes of the law :ymdevil:
