Germany introduces tough asylum policy as anti-refugee movement accused of 'Nazi rhetoric'
By Justin Huggler

Germany is to start enforcing a new tougher asylum policy on Saturday and could start deporting economic migrants as early as next week.

Under the new rules, those whose applications for asylum are rejected will be deported much more quickly.

Asylum-seekers from countries considered safe, including Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro, will be rejected automatically.

The new policy is an attempt by Angela Merkel’s government to get the refugee crisis under control as Germany struggles to cope with an expected influx of 800,000 this year.
