ISIS plan to attack sporting events in Europe and US
According to sources it is “only a matter of time” before depraved ISIS terrorists unleash drone attacks on global stadiums.
They fear the attacks could be deployed by sleeper cells or lone wolves and analysts at the Open Briefing think tank believe the sick death cult are already using swarms of drones in Iraq and Syria.
The Super Bowl could be one of the sporting events targetted
The group’s chief executive Chris Abbott said: “ISIS are already using drones in Iraq and Syria for intelligence gathering, quite successfully for battlefield awareness.
“They are in direct competition now with al Qaeda and are desperate to launch a mass casualty attack on Western targets.”
He feared the drones could be used to attack large crowds at events such as the Super Bowl and that they could even be fitted with cameras to film the atrocities.
In a chilling warning, Mr Abbott said there is no single measure to stop drone attacks but he encouraged authorities to regulate those who own drones, adding that a single device could carry 10kg of explosives or even a suicide vest.
He said: “Unfortunately if you have to resort to shooting them out of the sky in an urban environment or at a packed stadium the risk of collateral damage is very high.”
