The release of the chocolate has prompted Brits to moan on social media
Others have questioned why Easter treats are out before Valentine's Day

It's a post-Christmas tradition that is sure to get people worked up every year.

Just moments after Christmas treats have been taken off the shelves of UK shops, they have been replaced with Easter eggs.

And shoppers and retail workers alike are not happy at seeing the seasonal chocolate on display with Easter months away and the Christmas holidays still going on.

It has caused a huge stir on the internet already, with many people taking to social media to complain about the swap, particularly as Valentine's Day products will be in huge demand first.

Although traditional Easter eggs in big packaging are a rare sight at the moment, Cadbury's has started selling its Creme Egg and Mini Egg brands again, which are usually only available up until the spring holiday.

Twitter user Will Stone criticised Cadbury's for releasing the chocolate even before the start of the new year.

He said: Really @CadburyUK - it's not even NYE yet. Far too early. Can't we get Valentine's out of the way first?'

Other exasperated Brits could not believe the chocolate was available so soon after Christmas.

In France I saw in some markets like Lidl, Leader Price or Franprix our 'galettes des rois' (for Epiphany) selling at the end of October, 1 month before our 'bûche de Noël'. They should confuse with Halloween.

It is just the sign of a deep ignorance concerning these Christian feasts

Easter (moving day depending on Jewish Pessah' but always in SPRING) : Jesus DIES and RAISE.

Sometimes, having a light religious culture could help merchants.

It is too early for Easter Eggs. But children will buy it.

MAKING MONEY and MAKING WAR

Actually making war and selling weapons to other countries to enable them to make wars - is probably the biggest money maker on the planet

Religion causes war but doesn't make money. War makes money but can not compensate for the damage it causes. On an economic sense, money made from the war, doesn't have a value. It is useless.

Those countries who make money by supplying arms to warring factions - such as those supplying arms to destroy places like Kobane and Fullujah - do not spend money rebuilding
