US drop 26,171 bombs - save lives by stopping the bombing

In 2016 the US dropped 26,171 bombs
(cannot find record of how many people they slaughtered - how many innocent lives destroyed - how many animals maimed or killed)

The U.S. dropped 26,171 bombs in 2016, according to new figures from the Council on Foreign Relations. That number marks a 13 percent increase from the number of bombs dropped in 2015. As the Graphiq data visualization shows, U.S. airstrikes were conducted in seven countries throughout the year, although the majority of these -- nearly 93 percent -- occurred in Syria and Iraq.

Estimates for each country are calculated off of the percentage of total coalition airstrikes carried out by the United States in Operation Inherent Resolve. Data for Syria and Iraq in 2015 is combined.

US bombs dropped on Syria 12,192

US bombs dropped on Iraq 12,095

The number of U.S. bombed dropped in Afghanistan also increased in 2016 to a total of 1,337. However, U.S. bombing totals decreased in Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan in the last two years.

The rise in U.S. bombing abroad coincides with increased violence by the Islamic State, which remains the primary target of U.S. airstrikes in the Middle East and Africa. The U.S. engaged in military campaigns against several Islamic State strongholds in 2016, including the Iraqi city of Mosul and the city of Raqqa in Syria. ISIS attacks also escalated, with massacres occurring on a larger global scale.

The general public are always being advised to take personal action and cut down on carbon emissions

The goal is simple. Carbon dioxide is the climate’s worst enemy. It’s released when oil, coal, and other fossil fuels are burned for energy - the energy we use to power our homes, cars, and smartphones. By using less of it, we can curb our own contribution to climate change

What about carbon dioxide produced during the manufacture of BOMBS

What about carbon dioxide produced during the manufacture of the PLANES used to drop those bombs

What about carbon dioxide produced by the fuel used in planes while carrying the BOMBS

What about carbon dioxide and other harmful emissions produced by the aforementioned BOMBS exploding

What about the sometimes irrevocable damage to the flora and fauna caused by the BOMBS

What about the carbon dioxide and other harmful emissions produced while trying to replenish and rebuild that which was destroyed by the BOMBS

We, as individuals, are being encouraged to turn down our central heating as part of our own personal contributions towards cutting carbon dioxide emissions and preventing climate change - street lights are being dimmed or turned off at midnight - vacuum cleaners have to be less powerful
