This thread is about people without a land and what land could be given to them.



Aromanians (Primarily live in Greece) - Eastern Thrace (Istanbul or European Turkey)

Population - Unknown (Around 415,000 in areas outside of Greece, could be around 2 million in Greece)

Istro-Romanians (Primarily live in Croatia) - A small independent town in Eastern Thrace

Population - (Around 1,200)

Meglano-Romanians (Primarily live in Croatia) - A small independent town in Eastern Thrace

Population - (Around 20,000)




Vlachs of Serbia (Primarily live in Serbia) - A small district in Eastern Thrace

Population - (Around 50,000; but sources say could be around 300,000 ethnic Vlachs)


Pomaks (Bulgarian Muslims, Primarily live in Turkey) - A small independent district in Eastern Thrace

Population - (Around 500,000)


Torbesh (Macedonians Muslims, primarily live in Albania) - Small independent district in Eastern Thrace

Population - (Around 200,000)




Gagauz (Turkic People) - A small independent district in Eastern Thrace

Population - (Around 230,000)



Chveneburi (Georgian Muslims, Primarily live in Turkey) - A large portion of Easten Thrace, probably an entire province.

Population - (Around 1,500,000)


Roma (Gypsies, live practically in every country) - A large portion of Eastern Thrace

Population - (Around 10,000,000)


Total Population = 12,962,000+ individuals to inhabit Eastern Thrace

Edirne = Giving to make Aromania and states for the Serbian Vlarchs, Meglano-Romanians, and Istro-Romanians



Kirklareli = Divided into land share by the Torbesh and Pomaks



Tekirdag = Given to the Chveneburi



Northern (European) Canakkale = Given to the Gagauz



Western (European) Istanbul = Given to the Roma People





Now, what ideas or comments do you have for this idea and yeah it is kind of unlikely to be successful.

War is likely to occur between the Greeks and the Turks. The Greeks hate the Turks so much that having a small conflict between the Turks and the Kurds (much like the Austro-Hungrians had with the Serbians which triggered WW1) is enough to start a major war.

Also, most people that live in Turkey aren't Turkish, genetically. They are most closely related to Thracians, Syrians, Armenians, and Native Anatolians. Just like Egyptians, Syrians, Lebonese, and Palestinians are Levantines and not Arabs.

Istanbul is part of Thrace, which had existed well before there was a Turkey nor a united Greece. The people who descended from Thrace are the inhabitants of Bulgaria and the Aromanians.

there are some greeks that do not hate us but yes alot greeks do. i hope that do not happen.

LOL. I want to give the proper amounts away to proper distributions.

For example, Turkey is an Eurasian country like Russia, it cannot Join the European union properly until it cuts off its Asian half. But since the government of Turkey is situated in Anatolia, the more likely situation is to seperate Turkey from its European Half, which should be renamed Thracia I suppose and rename Istanbul, Byzantium (the original name of that city). However, the Eastern half which with will remain a part of Turkey can stay Istanbul and it is possible to move much of large buildings that the Turks want to keep in Turkey by moving it to the Current Capital or the Eastern Half.

Kurdistan, Zazastan, Pontus, and Lazistan should have their states made from Turkey that don't make up the Anatolian Peninsula. The rest of it should be renamed Anatolia and there should be a pro-Anatolian (Lydian) movement to revive the true nature of Anatolia before it was Greekified, Romanized, and Turkified.

By the way, Istanbul almost have more people than both bulgaria and greece. So you should stop to think, these people leave istanbul and give their land to others..

Only 9 percent of Turks have ancestory from Central Asia. The rest are Turkified Thracians, Armenians, Greeks, Caucasians, and Kurds.

Maybe next time you should try to present some factual evidence rather than bogus rants and utter mindless stupidity.

Modern day Thracians are the Aromanians and the Bulgarians. No matter how much you Turkify yourself on the outside, you will always be either an Aromanian or a Bulgarian in the inside.

In the 6th century some Thracian tribes south of the Danube river made contacts with the invading Slavs and were later Slavicised. Thus they became one of the main ethnic elements in the consolidation of the Bulgarian nation in 8-9th century. Linguistic evidence about this is the presence of Thracian and direct Latin loanwords in Old Bulgarian and modern Bulgarian language.

Today Thracian is a strong regional identity in both Bulgaria and Greece.

Most people in Thrace are Thracian. They just need to be involved in a movement towards gaining their their own land and identity.

I am quite certain that Greece wants to get rid of its minorities and Aromanians want to settle in a land of their own. They can't because all the land is controlled by someone. There is no free land for themselves.

As for Gypsies, they probably won't consider it. But they don't need to move their either to keep the population at a good considerably high level. You can simply just get the people of Thrace in Turkey to consider advocating towards independence from Turkey to retain their secular life style and then encourage them to adopt Aromanian language since they are ethnically much closer related to Aromanians than they are to true Turks.

But a lot of the people spoken above really want their own land.

It would be difficult to find such minorites. I am living at istanbul and I could not find these roma people.

No, I am from trabzon so maybe I am greek? Haha. So what? dont I have right to call myself as I wish. So my friend, Even I have greek ancestory, I call myself as Turkish.

By the way, I am sure, Istanbul have realy realy a few people who have ancestors at istanbul..

90% of istanbul people are immigrant from other cities(blacksea, inner anatolia, eastern and south eastern turkey)

Personally, the idea of MOVING people to make a majority to somewhere they have no unique connection to, is realy illogical and meaningless...

Come on - how are you going to move 19 million people out of Istanbul and replace them with "Thracians" and "Aromanians" and how are you going to MOVE "important Turkish buildings"??? That is realy a silly idea...

I can understand if a people, like the Kurds, Assyrians, Palestinians, Basques, Scots and others demand self-determination in the lands they make the majority - but I don't even want to try to understand this silly idea of forcing people to move away...
