hello guys,

i wanna get information about the kurds in sweden and norway, for example how much there are, if they are integrated well in the society, how they live, if there are more sorans or kurmancs and so on.
i have heard that they are very successfull and there are many famous people in sweden who have a kurdish origin.
but i also heard that the girls are assimilated too much, they have sex before marriage and the parents dont care about it, they live alone and leave their families house.
have anybody from you related persons in sweden ? how are they living ?
or where can i find information about the kurds in sweden and norway ?
i have googled very much but nothing usefull, because i cannot understand swedish.

please help

there is many kurds in sweden and norway, most of them are sorani kurds in sweden and finland and i think most are kurmanji in norway

Why do you need these information ? and why would you google that ? I doubt very much that you are a sociologist .

Kurds live like every Middle eastern group In Europ , some are totaly integrated after the second or third Generation and some are totaly conservitive . What I do not understand is , why this is a Kurdish Issue ? The same Apply to Turks , Iranian , Iraqis , Afganise ,,I could go on , but I think you get my point .

It is very impossible that you are a KURD!!! just read one more time what you wrote, "KILLING A WOMAN FOR HAVING SEX" . is it your business that someone has sex before of after marriage? who did give you the right of killing the others for living their lives n their own way? Islam? Less than 80% of the Kurds are Muslim. and the Kurdish society will not be based on religion.

it is a shame for me as a Kurd that I heard a Kurd is supporting Honor Killing. very very feeling shame and really offended. shame on Kurds who forgot that Arabs brought Islam with sword and killed many Kurds and raped our women and children in the name of Islam, the arabs should be very very happy to see that kurds who raped and killed and invaded by them are supporting them by killing the other kurds.

God bless Kurds like you that are killing our women and mothers in the name of Islam!!

It took Islam 1500 years to change our society , it will take us another 200 years to rid ourself from these Supid Arab traditions . Actully prior to Islam they used to barry the child alive in the desert if it is a girl to avoid being dishonored .

Mr Lavin , i didnt need any Certificate from you that iam a kurd or not...ok. 2ndly i didnt know about you but a honourable and a Pure kurd didnt want to see a kurdish girl or or a kurdish women to do illegal romance or such kind of stupid thing s .i think u dont know about kurdish traditions , because it order s us to kill both girl and boy when u saw them doing such kind of thing s .our Tribal system, our true islamic rule s order us to stop such kind of things by Dilouges or by force. remind u honour killing is not brought by islam or arabs , it is a part of Tribal Rules.i totally support every rule and every order of islam Because islam is a true Religioun and islam dosent mean s the islam of arabs or afghans, ok.we must know and preech the true islam...

Actually Islam is against honour killing, but sex before marriage is immoral and i believe 100 lashes is a good punishment. May Allah guide the Kurdish people.

Baluchistani_kurd can you show me where is these "kurdish rules" that force us to kill our women for having sex before marriage? can you show me your documents about these rule that you are proud of?

you need to ask from your Grandfather or from a true Nationalisht kurd who know s every thing about kurdish History, kurdish culture and about kurdish tradition s . Because i dont have such information in Documents or in written form yet.. when i got it then i post it here . .

let me tell you something, 2 months ago, a divorced woman became friend with a man in Marivan (Rojhelati Kurdistan, Iran) and shamefully her father killed her, more than 5000 Mariavani people demonstrated and protested against it.
we do not support honor killing, we do not kill our women like barbarian Arabs which the have been doing it , we are treating our women like human not like property. you (not only you, your tribe or city or what ever) are obsessed by Islamic rules and treating your women like they are your property that you can sell or trade them and if they want their life's KILL them,

NO!!! we do not have these rules in our (kurdish) tradition and you cannot prove your word about that this shameful and stupid rule (honor killing) is in our tradition, you are destroying our traditions

According to the UN in 2002:

"The report of the Special Rapporteur ... concerning cultural practices in the family that are violent towards women (E/CN.4/2002/83), indicated that honour killings had been reported in Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan, Punjab, the Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey, Yemen, and other Mediterranean and Persian Gulf countries, and that they had also taken place in western countries as France, Germany and the United Kingdom, within migrant communities."[9][10]

This should be sufficient to tell you that honor killing is Arabic/Islamic tradition , It has nothing to do with the true culture and tradition of other nations , and Please keep in mind , that 99% of the tradition were wiped out by the Arrival of Islam which became the culture and the constitution for every nation that came under Islamic rulls .

Balochistan :

It is a real dilama for most people ,

living by the Islamic rull is very safe and excellant for building a family with the least amount of trouble . Honestly I think in most cases it is beautiful . But in some cases , there an lots of abuse and injustice towards women .

However living by None islamic rulls is great for women , but is a disaster when it comes to building a family , The divorce rate in north Amerioca is 62% according to the latest statistics . Equality DOES NOT WORK PERIOD .

Keep in mind that I'm not a Muslim .
