A group of Kurdish activitst invaded and successfully occupied the Iraqi Consulate in London. They faced little resistance, smashed furniture, threw secret documents from balcony to the street, attracted intensive media attention. Police negotiated their way in by promising further publicity to the protesters who were detained and later released.
