I would have been against a Islamic republic, rather an modern democratic republic where both men and wimens have the same rights, and its important to remember that not all middle easterners got the same relegion, so we need to respect that.

Of course, the nation relegion should be Islam, but the nation should not be builded with Islamic rules and laws.
