Just tell us the EXACT place where your family is from - because then it'll be easier to determine which sub-dialect or dialect your dialect is closer to...

The name of the village would do :) Or the largest town within 10-20 miles radius...

And I don't think you'll have any difficulties learning Kurmancî, just think: "Different ways of saying words..."

Let's take an example:

Kurdish dialects: Bo çi? / Çima? / Çire? / Lo çi? = "What for?" in English...

See how "What for?" can be said in maaaaany ways (and probably more than the ones I've written too)...

That's how you should think: for every word, there are many names/versions...

Mal / Mar / Xanî / Xane = House/Home

Çon / Çawan / Çan / Çewa = How

There is a general change from "wa/aw/ew/we" sounds to "o" and "a"... Be aware of this... For example:

Çon/Çan = Çawan (this is the original form of the word, which çon and çan have derived from)! :)

What exactly do you think will be the hardest problem learning Kurmancî for you?

Gender? Pronouns? Suffixes and prefixes?

I am more than happy to help out where ever needed :)

A question: Is there in Feyli a Izafe-System, like "malî min" = my house?
