Wise-guy... you never give up do you... I am not saying that Kurds are Arians and nothing else...

And so what??? You know the meaning of the name - is this the moment I say "woooooooooooow!"??? I would expect any kurd to know the meaning of Kurdish names... well unless they are local names...

Are you not aware of how ARROGANTit sounds for you to say:

This issue is open for some one who speaks Kurdish not a dialect of Kurdish,

And then following up with:
how ever "rixne = critics" and zimaní rixne = language of critics, that means people criticise each others without getting where you are heading.

And not least:

I read and learned, you may do the same, go to http://www.KurdishAcademy.org and see for yourself, but again it is for some one who speaks Kurdish as a language and not as a dialect.

Just WHAT are you trying to say??? I have studied Kurdish - I had three hours of Kurdish EVERY year - from I was 7 - up untill last year... Don't you think I should have SOME knowledgeabout my DIALECT - it IS a DIALECT - Kurdish has 4 of those - A dialect is a regional phenomen which comes with evolution - as the speakers of the same language may have two or more different ways of pronouncing their words and in most cases there are variations in the vocabulary used by the people - depending on which region of the country the are based - Dialects are in many cases results of influence from a bordering language.

i am sorry - but "rixne" is not a part of my vocabulary - nor is it a part of my dialect - would you care to translate? I am guessing you mean "Zimanê daykê"... "mothers tounge"...[b]

You ask me to give up, I just explained what you wondered, read it for your self. I did not want to keep this nonsense going on, but it sounds that you have some nerve. That is what you said and I was trying to help. If some Kurds know only their own dialect it will be hard to speak of Kurdish as one single language with them. This is my last reply to you. I hope that there are more people out there who would like to exchange ideas in more civilised and friendly way. My GOD help you!

Don't you UNDERSTAND??? Saying things like :

My GOD help you!

DON*T make the situation better - you are implying that I have got a problem!

You are just sounding arrogant when saying:

I hope that there are more people out there who would like to exchange ideas in more civilised and friendly way

as someone who wants and is trying to learn kurmancî, i voted for latin script for many of the reasons--although not all--that have already been given here by others.

i do have one other to add. in bashur it was permitted to use kurdish language, but it was forbidden to teach or use it in latin script. people were murdered by the ba'ath for doing this. i prefer to honor those who were murdered by the ba'ath by using latin script. let it serve as a reminder to the future of what happened, so that it is never forgotten.

there is also a unified kurdish alphabet at this link:

Diri, i'm not sure, but i think some of those "other" letters are meant to duplicate arabic sounds.

the alphabet you show here is the same that baran rizgar uses and it is the one i am familiar with.

have you seen this site:

http://www.dibistanakurdi.com/

i really like it.
