In Turkish, we call our mother's brother as dayı. Do you think there are any relatiions betweet Dayık and Dayı?

We use isot pepper with uncooked (raw. unbaked) meatball, for which Urfa is very famous. Is it a Kurdish meatball. We like it very much. In some gatherings, it is very common to prepare uncooked meatball with isot pepper.Kız kardeş......................= sister............................. = Xûşk

I remember that word very well. Our demarch called her wife for Xwê during his invitaion meal. It was very delicious. I like Kurdish meals. It was rice and meat with dov. I miss those days in the country in Adıyaman, Kahta, Ulupınar village which is near dam now.

We can use color codes... But I can't be bothered to put every English word in red, every Turkish word in blue and every Kurdish word in green...

That will take too much time...

But that is the only way you can make a system... Using colors...

Yes i DO mean Kurmancî... I am from Colemêrg... That is north of Soran û Badînan...

Badînan and Soran are the two provinces just north of Colemêrg... Colemêrg is often refered to as "Hakkari" - but it's not an accurate name...


When I translate from Turkish or any other language - I usually use the Kurdish word which is standard for Kurmancî... If the Kurmancî standard is VERY different from the Soranî word, I usually write both the Soranî AND the Kurmancî standard...

Like "Jin" - "Woman" - I wrote: Jin / Afret...

That's actually not a big deal... It's actually more correct in English to write "To read" because if you say "Reading" - you may be pointing at a specific matter... Whereas "To read" is a general question...
