No, unfortunately I have not been to what is known today as "West Azarbaijan" (which is rediculous because that region use to be a part of Kurdistan). I hear there is a lot of pre-Aryan history there though. Mannean, I think?
Either way, I'm sure it is beautiful because my cousin lives around Urmia and she sent me pictures. Btw I've never heard it be called Sablax...maybe the locals call it that? Mahabad is a very pretty name though. They probably have a great view of the moon from there
