Hi Everyone

Would somebody be kind enough to translate the following message into full Kurdish for me :?:

. I would love to send my boyfriend a sms that is not part Kurdish, part Turkish & part English

. I would really appreciate it. He comes from Mardin, as I've seen you mention there is different texts for different regions.

"Hello my love, I miss you much. I think of you all the time. I love you lots & lots. Take care"

Could you also tell me what these two words mean? I hope they are decent :oops:

Bir tanem ! Its cute

It means more or less (in turkish) my little one, my unique... its hard to translate, but I remember my turkish ex girlfriend saying that, or "bir tanecim"...

Nahit is the name of a star... And it's not a Turkish word/name...

Yeah well "my unique" is cuter [-(

and "bir tanecim" is even cuter (pronunce tanedjim)

I can tell you both, he was impressed with me sending him a Kurdish sms

. I feel a bit of a cheat though :oops:

, as I would love to be able to find out the words on the internet myself. Turkish words are hard enough to find & Kurdish seem near on impossible. Even if you can find them they only come up as single words, I could never work out how to put a sentence together

. While I'm being cheeky, can I ask you to translate 2 more words for me, I promise I won't ask for anymore :lol:

Sew Bas means "good night" but I'm not sure if you were asking or saying
and I guess Sepaz is a way to write Spas...sometimes they write Supas as well...Diri can answer that!

I am super good with cute turkish words ! At least something remained from this relationship

Güzelim = my beautiful

Canim = my soul

Askim = my love

Sevgilim = my love (lover)

Bebecim = my little baby

ok he is a guy though, so that could sound a bit gay

I propose

Aslanim = my lion

Kahramanim = my heroe :lol:

Khanim = my prince

Şew Baş = Good night as Tomas said, but there are two versions:

Şew Baş = Good night = when saying "Have a good night [the rest of the night]"

Şew Xoş = Good night = when going to bed...

Supaz/Sipas/Supas/Sopas/Spas etc. many ways to write: Thank you... :wink:

I hope you will learn Kurdish, Linda...Being that your in-laws are Kurds and not Turks... :roll:

Roj baş - Good day

Paşnîwro baş - Good afternoon

Êvar baş - Good evening

Şew baş - Good night

Şew xoş - Pleasing/Good night

Xew xoş - Pleasing/Good sleep

Xewn xoş - Pleasing/Good dreams

Some are less used...

can help sometimes...personally I always used turkish to communicate in northern kurdistan

we can assume that her boyfriend is bilingual, as most northern-kurds...

personally I use french or english indifferently with my girlfriend, so I use cute words from both languages
