hey , today I recieved 110 Ubunutu Linux CDS for 100% free ! they even paid the postage!!!
simply I just registered my adress and recived 110 CDS !!!
I had already regsitered for another 10 Free CDs and I recived them too .
the cds are in nice printed cases and they are original printed cds .
do you like to recieve linux CDs for free?

Ubunutu is the most popular kind of Linux and it has been trasnlated to kurdish language too.

a group of kurds are working on the Ubuntu linux to make it kurdish , and they are making it More kurdish day by day, I am gonna , help them to in their kurdification of linux...anybody intrested in linux ? or any idea that how we can help them?

by my idea it is aa kurdish national duty to premote Linux.
because , Microsoft will never add kurdish language to windows [but linux does]

you can remember that Microsfot employer in Turkey was kidnpaed by Turkish police , just because in one of their Enclopydia softwares they had mentioned Kurdistan name.and finallly Microsoft had to delete kurdistan word from their software, so they can continue selling software to turkey.

with linux, which is FREE and Open Source, Turkey can never do anything to kurdish language.

linux the future?? My ***
MS is getting better, faster and more userfriedly then Linux.

Ok we won't have MS in Kurdi right away, but it will come.
Worked with Linux (obuntu, red hate, suse, debian) but still prefer MS.
It is just way to easy :)

ok here are my first questions
1- for first question ,what is SU ?
2-when had you installed Ubuntu ? because their latest version 5.1 RIGHT NOW is the most popular linux in the whole world !!! and they are growing like hell . I have read a lot of articles on magazines like PCMAG telling they are the best linux and soon will be windows' compettitor.

may at the time that you had installed ubuntu linux, it wasnt like now.

3-by the way is your modem internal ? which model , did you have problem in connecting to internet?

Su is the most common command on Linux for SUperuser.
But ubunut changed that to SUDO.
First time i installed it i was like 1 hour bizzy to execute a command but everytime failure because of the stupid SUDo( i was login in with SU)
SUDO gives you root acces on ubuntu.

I think 5/6 months ago.
I aso just received the latest version on cd. I will install it on a PC for PHP test envoirement.

Have a farollon NIC, and no problems at all. Although installing flash player was much more timespending for me.

Microsoft is more popular among users but Linux is more popular in the work envirements and that is because Linux has got so much advantage than microsoft, more secure than microsoft, and on the top is FREE !

Of course, microsoft is easy for those who are not familiar with shell command.

Thank you

axactlly^^ :D
as long as you can remember all the commands *or maybe just know how to use 'em* then Linux is great for running servers! it ROCKS :-({|= \:D/

by the way, welcome to Rojbash, n oh, i like your nick =)

I was impressed with ubuntu 6 on my new laptop, it detected all the hardware and installed the correct drivers. After its installed you dont have "copyrighted" things as xvid /mp3 codecs, (only disadvantage i saw with ubuntu) but its easy to fix this by adding a new download site to a specific config file. As dyaoko stated i also could choose the kurdish (kurmancî) language during setup.
