Go back in history to the Vietnam war - for the first time ever black and white soldiers were fighting and dying alongside each other - when the black soldiers returned to America they were still being treated unfairly and as second class citizens - they became militant - joined black power groups - the Black Panthers - the Black Liberation Front etc - these groups helped other black people - fed children - opened schools - opened bookshops - opened community centres - America pushed drugs into the black community to prevent the rise of Black Power
Black gangs and drug dealing grew from those days - as did the ownership of guns - the soldiers both black and white all took guns back to America as souvenirs - white people returned from the Vietnam war as heroes - black people returned often to become drug addicted penniless tramps with mental health problems
