Kurdish Villages Attacked in Aleppo

Al Qaeda-linked militia attacked Kurdish civilians in Tal Hasil and Tal Aran in Aleppo province, Syria.
Hawar News Agency (ANHA) released a footage depicting the attacks on Kurdish civilians.
People’s Democratic Congress (HDK) made a call for solidarity demonstration for Rojava at 7 pm in downtown Istanbul.
According to Firat News Agency (ANF) and information provided by Kurdish journalist Barzan Iso, attacks orchestrated by military tanks, mortars and heavy machine guns left more than 50 people dead and 350 held as hostages.
AFP sources also confirm that jihadist groups allegedly held at least 200 Syrian Kurds as hostages. It was also cited that 50 Kurdish workers have been abducted on their way back from Lebanon. There are reportedly children among hostages.
“There is another civil war inside the civil war in Syria,” Washington Post said.
Phone lines cut, roads blocked

Al Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda-linked militia group, have previously been defeated in Kurdish region cities Derik, Rımelan, Girkê Legê, Çilaxa, Qamişlo, Serêkaniyê and Tal Abyad.
Following these clashes, the group allegedly declared fatwas [a religious statement] against the killing of Kurds - an appeal that triggered attacks on Kurds in Tal Aran and Tal Hasil villages.
No transportation or phone line is currently available in Tal Aran and Tal Hasil villages. Hostages are mostly composed of families who flee from cities.
ANF also cited Kubeysin, Cerablus, Mumbiç, Tal Aran, Tal Hasil and surrounding 5 other villages to be densely populated by Kurds.
Serêkaniyê city needs doctors and medications

Various sources note that there is shortage of doctors and medication in Serêkaniyê city.
According to tweets sent by journalist Barzan Iso, clashes ended in Serêkaniyê city and Kurdish YPG is currently under control. On the other hand, Kobani and Afrin are surrounded by tribal gangs.
Clashes in Serêkaniyê left the city’s only hospital vandalized, resulting in a shortage of medical equipment and operation instruments. “It is extremely challenging to treat patients,” sources say.
Civan Mustafa, one of the four doctors serving at a field hospital, told ANF that there is lack of medication and they were admitting patients under extremely challenging conditions.
“We are transfering patients with severe condition to Qamişlo. We lack essential medication and we can’t preserve what we have in good condition either. Most of them are scattered on the ground. We can’t make surgical intervention here. We need all sorts of medication beginning from drugs to use in operations.” (AS/BM)
