Hêro Ibrahim Ahmed, member of PUK Political Bureau was the head of PUK Sulaimaniyah Center for about four years.
Ms. Hero has announced in a press statement that she will quit from that position on Monday, September 30, 2013.
She has said that "PUK needs to make some changes in its organs, and this I want to be the first change among them."
The PUK is led by Iraqi president Jalal Talabani, who is currently in Germany for stroke treatment.
The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) on Saturday announced the results of Kurdistan region's parliamentary elections, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK),www.ekurd.net comes third, while the main opposition Gorran (Change) party comes second and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), headed by Kurdistan president, Massoud Barzani, comes first.
Meanwhile the PUK Central Council in a press statement on Monday congratulated the people of Kurdistan for succeeding that important test of democracy in Kurdistan region.
PUK welcomes the election results because they are the results of a democratic system. Also, PUK has been for a long time struggling to succeed the system of democracy in the Kurdistan Region, so now the basic duty of PUK is to accept these results.
However, with the acceptance of the results, PUK has to enter a new stage; a stage of serious reformations.
Regarding the urgent reformations we ask PUK Political Bureau, the Central Council announces three steps, as first steps of the reformations.
