Turkey discusses humanitarian relief with Syrian Kurds

Officials from the Turkish Foreign Ministry discussed humanitarian assistance with the representatives of the Syrian Kurdish Supreme Council on Wednesday in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

Officials from the Kurdish Supreme Council said they needed more humanitarian assistance as the situation in Syria is deteriorating every passing day, according to diplomatic sources.

Kurdish officials said they wanted to cooperate with Turkey.

Meanwhile, Turkish officials said Turkey offers humanitarian relief to all Syrians without discriminating and will continue to help.

More than 100,000 people have been killed in the two and a half year Syrian civil war, according to the UN, while over two million people have fled the country to take refuge in other countries, mostly in neighboring Jordan, Turkey. Lebanon and Iraq.
