Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) has requested all the Kurdish groups and political parties in the area of Kirkuk to participate in the Iraqi parliamentary elections with a single fraction. This request of PUK is at a time that Kurdish groups seem to be divided in the area, and this will definitely leave negative consequences for Kurds in the area, Dr. Najmadin Karim, Kirkuk Governor has said.
Aso Mamad, head of PUK central center of Kirkuk has also talked to PUKmedia about the request of PUK. He said that "PUK wants to strengthen the roots of unity among Kurdish groups in the area, and the only thing that best benefits Kurds is unity among Kurds in the future."
Mr. Karim has also added that Kurdish political parties "should learn from the past mistakes."
It is noteworthy that Kirkuk is a part of the Kurdistan, and the unity among Kurdish groups in the area seem to be the best sign of success of Kurds over those who deny Kirkuk to be part of Kurdistan.
