Ali Ahmed, an Arab tourist from Baghdad visiting Turkey, said that, “My family of seven have been in Turkey for several days already. Yet all the money we have spent so far, including entry tickets, has not reached the huge amount of money that we spent on hotels and restaurants in Kurdistan last year.” “My father told us that from now on we will come to Turkey for holidays because it is cheaper here,” Ahmed added. Imad Hashem, another Arab tourist from Baghdad, said that his family experienced difficulty finding a hotel in Kurdistan last year and that prices were very expensive. This year, Hashem’s family decided to visit Turkey, where they have found accommodation to be much cheaper. “We found a suite in the center of Istanbul suitable for a big family, and we are paying only $400 per week. For such a place in Erbil, we would have paid $700 – 800,” Hashem explained...basnews.com
