I would love to know what Ocalan is saying - but it is obvious that he is enjoying himself

I wonder why the video is being shown after all these years :-?

It is a preparation for his release.

if Öcalan is released, it is the end of PKK. Might be Erdoğan's strategy.

I agree with you entirely that Ocalan release would be the end of the PKK - it would also be the end of the Kurdish dream of independence X(

Ocalan's ideology has changed so much that he has become unrecognisable as the once charismatic spokesman for Kurdish PRIDE - FREEDOM - INDEPENDENCE X(

Also, his release will cause even more conflict within Turkey's political system - the right wing will be furious - lying corrupt erDOGan will do anything to trick the Kurds into supporting him - heck nobody else wants to support him :))

It is not about PKK, it is about North Kurdistan. The impact of the release of Apo has the same impact of President Nilson Mandeila on Black South Africans when he was released. Every Kurd of NK becomes as strong as and as proud as a PKK armed member. Kemalist Turks will give up and will be ashamed of their past behaviour against Kurds, they will be reduced to a bunch of retarded skin heads. North Kurdistan ends up like Scotland. After that it is upto the people of North Kurdistan to make their mind to stay with Turkey or go independent.

@ Londoner

Soon a WORLD WIDE referendum will be taking place asking Kurds if they want an Independent Kurdistan

In 2005 - when such a referendum was held in South Kurdistan over 90% of the Kurds voted for independence

It had been thought that the referendum would take place on the internet - my question to you - with all your knowledge and expertise is:

Will Kurds in Turkey be able to gain access to internet through proxy servers or TOR?

The liberation of Öcalan, could be a good thing btw. If PKK split it would allow a new and fresh blood in Kurdish politics in N. Kurdistan. They need to change and adapt themselves to the 21st century..

But ,but Ocalan vows in the video to use PKK to protect the Turkish interests and say what ever the state wants he is going to do , so what could possibly prevent him from crushing any emerging party with the Turkish state help ? PKK killed many of their commanders who wanted to split from PKK after Ocalan's arrest and they will do the same if he is released .You see the major problem in Bakur is that no one can say NO to ocalan and no matter what he say , his supporters will claim it is politics .

He apologize to Turkish state......it is politics
He is against a Kurdish state......it is politics
He order PKK to withdraw from Bakur.....it is politics
He say he will SERVE the state........it is politics

I could go on and on and on ,but you get my drift .I'm YET to see Ocalan say or do ONE just One positive thing that is pro Kurdistan .

In the same time, what it makes Öcalan so popular among the younger generations is his status of 'hidden Mahdi'. He can be easily idealized as soon as his figure stays mysterious and with an aura of 'imprisoned martyr like Mandela'. But the more he talks the more he disappoints a general public, except his fanatics supporters.

At first Ocalan and the PKK did actually wake up many of the sleeping Kurds - but he has always suppressed those who stood against him

The Kurds in Turkey do not have any good leaders - the BDP are useless - I think that many Kurds try to remember Ocalan as he was once portrayed - a charismatic man who promised Kurds unity and freedom - not an old man seeking some form of self-aggrandisement in his later years

I do not think it is right that people are using him to suppress the Kurds X(

Unfortunately I don't know because Turkish State can control or cut internet any time for any reason. But that is not important. If Kurds have their free choice, they will vote for independence immediately.

The important things for Kurds is to be able to find a way of giving them a free choice via a referendum - I know that a new referendum will be taking place within the next few months - how will it be possible for them to hold an internet referendum in Turkey :-?

Yes sir, it is politics, it is a lot more difficult and harder than carrying arms and going to the battlefield. Fighting is a lot easier than politics. This is what an expert, Kak Maso'od, said. Obviously it is true. It is a lot easier to use your muscle than your brain.
